ACA SU
During the design phase of the project, the settlement conditions have been questioned in every aspect as it was aimed that the residents of Aca Su, their neighbours and the surrounding buildings could communicate with each other on district level, upon completion of the structure and beginning of habitation.
Project location Kagithane, as a former urban center of old Istanbul, is currently a district with unqualified and earthquake-resistless architectural formation.
Kagithane district is close to the new and old urban centers of İstanbul. Through a good city planning and qualified settlements, the district is expected to wake up and regain its importance.
This point of view consits the major axis of the project design.
Taking this into consideration, the project was aimed to be a pioneer of urban transformation which would whittle away unqualified and earthquake resistless city formation in the district.
One of the challenging data during the planning and designig phase was the obligation to use the investor's already installed column structure in the building foundation.
Irregular landscape level was another challenge resulting with the third basement storey to serve as ground floor entrance for pedestarians and vehicles.
Apart from the public regulations; independent demands of investors and land owners along with the plan notes of local administration, formed parts of the preliminary challenging parameters.
All these difficulties brought on 68 distinctly unique residential units and other supportive units to the agenda.
Differences of each residential unit plans make an irregularity on the facade. Because of the facade grid concept is a way of seaching a solution for this irregularity.
It consists of various structural analysis such as swimming pool, fitness area, parking and residential units.
