Student Living at Schellerdamm
The house is basically composed in single solids, structured through an open and half internal staircase in between the parts. The building is also linked with the city outside of the historical development.
From the backside the house is opened up by a spacially differentiated pergola structure. The kitchen generates the central communal space of the apartment sharing community wich is basically made up for four students.
The image of the building is expressed in the facade. The square formed ceramic tiles give the building a presence as well as a robustness which also forms a gentle connection to the development. In the exterior-interior interface the ceramic and plastered facade congregates straight together. Finely particularized wooden windows create a graceful interaction with the facade.
