Multi-family house Hubrainstrasse
The development is situated on the outskirts of a settlement area, directly beside a stream that is lined by trees. The building is embedded into the terrain by being split into four basic sections that are staggered towards the Greifensee. The design is based on the aim of providing all residential units with a view of the lake and a high-quality relationship with the exterior space in the close vicinity. Each apartment was given either a rooftop terrace or a combination of a projecting bay window and an introverted loggia. The resulting building is united by means of a uniform plaster façade with gentle colour nuances that give it a subtle appearance. The anodised aluminium windows emphasise the volumetric interplay of outward placement from within. The four-winged building has select oak parquet flooring, giving the otherwise reserved, white space with jointless fittings a focused, elegant effect for the spatial atmosphere.
