Roboski Museum is a symbol of Justice; signifying the importance of struggling against Violence of Government and fighting for the justice without using force. It aims restrain the moral attitudes of people like anger and revenge, which are naturally born as a result of Government Violence, looking for Justice in the grounds of Conscience and Law. This nonviolent search for Justice should make ‘Tranquilty’ its principle, thus Roboski Musem - as a symbol for this Search - should be in an ‘ Annoying Calmness’ as Oscar Wilde claims.
Robboski Museum Proposal is a Rectangular Prism oriented to the North-South of the Project area. It consists of a Corten coverded Wall located on the East symbolizing the Left Ones, a museum Mass symbolizing the ones passed away and a passage connecting these two elements. The Corten Covered wall is chosen to represent the continuing life of the living people in spite of sorrow, as its surface changes and gets older throughout the time. Finally, symbolizing the ongoing life and the truth of the past sorrow – Museum Mass never gets old and is Never Forgotten. The Passage between the two elements stands for the tension and stress in the lives of left people.
