It's a social housing program, which was realized in a Paris district very much afflicted by the gigantism of the fifties. As one of the tall existing buildings was even inside the area of the project, this suggested the idea of using mirrors in order to eliminate the view of its ugly volume by means of the reflection of the sky. The whole project is inspired by a reaction of defence, thus designing a citadel, whose stone wall are also reminding the typical murs mitoyens of the Paris buildings.
The interior area, inside the block, is on the contrary designed in order to obtain a sweet and domestic atmosphere, with facades, porticos and sloping roofs remembering the traditional French houses.
