The project entitles 14 social housing. The building is composed of three identical blocks that fit the site’s curves. The parcel’s topography creates the general shape of the project: it’s decomposing the blocks and allowing a direct exterior access for each housing from the ground floor.
In front of each housing, a carport is located which incorporate two parking spot. These carports help to visually protect the ground floor of the housings. They also mark the beginning of a slow and neat transition between the public space (the street) and the private space (the housings).
Terraces are placed in order to avoid -as much as possible - the direct views between the housings. Everything is done to give to the people, the feeling of being “at home”, and living in a “real house” more than in a collective housing. The combination of the different volumes highlights the quality of spaces, as a village where each unit contributes to the whole.
