MODERN FLAT IN ROME
Spaces transformed by shapes simplicity.
This Modern Flat project, designed by Noses Architecture Office [Luca Gasparini & Mohamed Keilani] in the neighborhood of Monteverde in Rome, comes from a concept inspired by flexibility and versatile spaces. This Flat originally was a typical sixties apartment of 110 square meters divided by classical wall partitions. In 2011 we re-organized the internal layout into living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The apartment layout is made up of two separate volumes, made of different materials, varying from natural white wood (ash, open pore), to natural black iron. The Black volume become the real protagonist of the project with his triple function: divider, winery and floreal vases. Sliding doors made of different materials [wood and glass] modifying the configuration of the house, along with the illumination and perception of the internal spaces.
