Next to a corner lot with a two-story house and open views, this project of six apartments and studios offers the possibility to open up the views towards the city and break the traditional logic of paired buildings by leaning the building on one of the sides, liberating the other one.
This move generates an urban space sideways, where the open concrete stairs appear as a figure.
The windows of the side façade are protected from the northern sun by translucent awnings. Over the front, the window frames take a diagonal direction, defining a French balcony on one end and an accessible balcony on the other one.
Partition walls and slabs are finished in different raw concrete. The upper units expand onto terraces, which top off with metallic casing, changing the project’s materiality.
