In 2011, the SFL group, owner of this building complex in the heart of the Bourse district entrusted Philippe Chiambaretta/PCA with the design and development of an ambitious restructuring project for office space.
Consisting of three buildings, the Richelieu cluster has undergone a major redevelopement to create a high-end business center around flexible and modern platforms equipped with prestige services. The proposed project from PCA is one of the first buildings in France to aim for triple HQE/BREEAM/LEED certification for sustainability.
It aims to reinterpret the initial writing of the 1950s standards and thus to recover the main features of the original building established by the rhythm of the vertical frame and the horizontal superposition.
Open to contemporary changes and specialised in Parisian commercial buildings, la Société Foncière Lyonnaise approached PCA (whose research on the evolution of work spaces has been applied in various Parisian renovations and rebuilds) for the renovation of this considerable property complex in the heart of the second arrondissement.
Cloud.Paris is the result of converging innovative strategies - in an age of an immaterial economy, the central location and diversity corresponds to the needs of creative industries as well as high-added value service fields who avoid single function, remote business centres. PCA conceived this urban campus like a relational ecosystem, favouring gathering spaces and new ways of working, where a collaborative experience stimulates innovation and productivity.
Featuring comfortable, felxible-use spaces, flexible usage, hotel-like services, quality and diverse shared spaces (a considerably large E-lounge, panoramic roof-top terraces), #Cloud.Paris offers a new office model for Paris. The glazed city facing facades, the landscaped spaces within the heart of the complex and the roof-top terraces express a new relationship with the city and environment. Additionally, the aforementioned are some of the contributing factors to the building’s sustainability triple certification.
These innovations have already been highly regarded, with Exane and Facebook leasing spaces before the completion of works.
