Itahyé House
Designed to be set in a plot of a condominium in the city of Santana do Parnaíba, it was possible to develop the project of this house with the contribution of its future inhabitants who, in an unusual way for that situations, supported the idea of a home with a stronger relationship with the street.
Two parallel porticos each other cut by a rectangular volume implanted in the longitudinal direction of the lot. That composition establishes a series of new relationship in the sloping plot.
The longitudinal volume, which actually includes all intimate areas; bedrooms, laundry and TV room, is connected in the same level with the garage and has a circulation overlooking the courtyard which gives access to leisure area, swimming pool and sauna.
Its roof slab determines the level of the living room which extends the floor till the public walk, literally, as an internal street.
Porticoes already perpendicular to the rooms' volume contains the rest of the program; The front of the porch marks the entrance as a shelter for those arriving from the public sidewalk and contains the kitchen.
In this situation we developed a solar shading system to be built in wood and will have, besides the shading function, the role of preserving the daily life of the house.
The second porch on the other end of the prism at the lot background, the rest of the program is placed; living room and dining kitchen connected by a suspended walkway enclosed by glass.
The gap between the living and the kitchen generate a suspended patio, facing the main view of the condominium; a large area of natural preservation that frames the landscape.
