The MIR doesn’t want to be a traditional museum: it is rather a new generation museum which combines great archaeology with cultural activities, such as exhibitions and theatre performance.
The MIR is developed in three different forms:
1- Material form, placed in Villa Adriana and characterized by the design of a typical museum for a collection of archaeological finds;
2 -Immaterial form, placed in Terme di Caracalla: an exhibition project based on the relationship between historical monument and ephemeral installation and targeting mainly contemporary performance art and theatre;
3 - Identity form: a project of visual communication and corporate image relating to all formats, both static and dynamic.
