A space to paint
How to build a space to paint in a house built by our teacher. By virtue of having organized the site from two elements: a transverse volume with housing program and a longitudinal bar with services program.
To avoid diminishing protagonism from this transverse event, we connect from the private living room at a half level between the day and night area, which we had the opportunity to turn into the atelier, and from here to conquer the garden.
A large longitudinal space constructed with logical parts, standard and economic resolved with a structural system of steel tubes, covered by a double skin of sheet metal and wood. A deposit of paintings organizes the access and a cleaning tables finishes off the proposal. The angled light and its overhead counterpoint serve as material to the artists.
