Floragatan
The apartment alteration commission was given by an outgoing couple with two grown-up sons and a dog. The apartment is attractively situated in an early 60’s building in central Stockholm. The clients wanted a completely new layout prioritizing a large social area.
All partition walls and surface materials of the apartment were demolished, down to its bare structure. To achieve a bright and neutral background to the couple’s art collection, white walls and a flexible lighting solution were preferred. The social area got a massive wood floor, while the more private area got textile floors. Standing out against this background is, beside the client’s art and furniture collections, project specific detail solutions and custom designed furniture. Our aim as architects is that this comes together to a considered, balanced, and comfortable whole.
