Quality of life, nature, memory and sustainibility were the four main concept which led us to the final design.
As time passes by, the ground under our feet constantly changes, and so do the elements which surround us. They seems to be static, but in the time distance they change costantly untill they become something else, with a new meaning for the people in contact with them. This relation between layers; between static and dinamic emerges from the masterplan. All the preexisting elements get in contact with the new buildings, generating a modification in the plan. Two new main street will connect all the areas in all the directions. The direction on which the gas pipe is located wil create a new road axis aswell. The area in which the old Labour Camp was located will become a system of signs in the territory, which will mark the history of the land, through the utilisation of different materials. The green on the groundfloor is designed for accessibility and will provide space for playgrounds, meeting, etc.. Due to the presence of railway and road on the west side, a system of high evergreen trees on the border of the site, in order to control the traffic noise and increase the quality of the new area. All the buildings don’t overcome the heighness of the tree to better integrate with the surrounding enviroment. The area is fully accessible from all the sides and its open green spaces will be a new public space for the city deep into the natural enviroment.
