Walking with CVDB
Walking with CVDB is a video that monitors the journey of a character through many architectural works: Braamcamp Freire Secondary School, Arraiolos Tapestry Museum, Jarego House, Elderly Day Care and Residential Centre and Cartaxo Cultural Centre, all of them from CVDB arquitectos.
The route is organized by several subjects that concern and guide the way that CVDB works in the past years, such as place, public space and transition space, as well as visual continuity and materiality.
Thus, in this video, Building Pictures uses these topics to establish the link between all the spaces.
CVDB Arquitectos is a studio created in 1999 by Cristina Verissimo and Diogo Burnay; since then, they’ve been exploring new contemporary ways of making architecture, looking at the space as part of a physical, social and cultural context. This studio has won several awards with works that are included in this video, such as: Braamcamp Freire Secondary School which has won recently the AR School Awards, the Education Wan Awards
