House R
The building site is located on a slope with direct access to the Sarner lake. The area is surrounded by barns and residential buildings. The house appears as a floating wooden volume on a massive base. The inspiration of this building can be found in the case-study-houses in California from the 60s where new forms of housing were developed.
In the concrete basement store rooms, toilet, office and workshop are placed. In the upper generous wooden floor are all living rooms located. From every room, you have a fantastic panorama view over the lake and the mountains.
