Rui Jordão House
Built over an abandoned windmill on a small hill, 50km north of Lisbon, the house was conceived as a refuge.
...
The living room was built underground, like a cavern opened to the landscape, with a little recess to be near the fire and another to cook.
The bedroom was built high, like a tower.
A long windowless passway links the tower, the cavern and the windmill that was repaired for the children and friends.
