Sava Nam
Sava Nam is a chic tropical beach home with a distinctive design and leading edge amenities.
The main feature is the first floor where the living and dining spaces fully open onto a generous pool deck and create a dramatic entertainment level that is naturally cooled by the almost constant monsoon breeze.
Whilst being modern in their usage, the materials used have reference to the local vernacular. This has softened the aesthetic and made it a very comfortable contemporary home.
Sava Nam is a chic tropical beach home with a distinctive design and leading edge amenities. The 3 storey villa features 4 spacious ensuite bedrooms on the top floor - two of which are sea facing master suites with dramatic views right from their king size beds. The rear guest rooms share a bathroom with glass walled rainshower, One of the upper floor masters opens onto its own expansive, private outdoor terrace, the other features an ensuite bath tub with one way glass for indulgent seaview bathing.
The minimalist, teak and tiled interiors at Sava boast comfortable furnishings throughout. The spacious ground floor living area features and office and lounge served by an ensuite bathroom. A central wood and glass staircase connects to the upper lounge, which slides open on three sides onto the villa's fabulous 18m infinity lap pool and sundeck, drawing in the ocean breezes. This large terrace is ideal for al fresco dining, with a built-in barbecue unit and automated awning for all weather protection. A fully fitted brand name kitchen occupies the rear section of this floor and serves a spacious indoor dining area and comfortable, recessed TV den.
Sava Nam is located on the beautiful Natai Beach on the west coast of Phang Nga province in Thailand. At a latitude of 8° north, it enjoys a tropical monsoon climate with wet south-westerlies from April to November and dry north-east winds for the remainder of the year. These near constant breezes are the driving force behind the open living space, where the monsoon winds naturally cool by drawing air through the rest of the house.
Regulation set-backs have been a benefit as there is a large lawn area between the pool and terraces and the sandy beach.
Sava Nam has been built on a green field site and is part of a development of other similar homes. Previously, there were no other buildings in the vicinity that is 10 minutes by car to the nearest village.
Notwithstanding this isolation, the design has used materials that whilst being modern in their usage, have referenced the local vernacular. This has softened the aesthetic of the design and made them a very comfortable contemporary.
The house sits very comfortably on an elevated area of this essentially flat site with views over the top of the Sava Sai villas out to the Andaman Sea
