2014, APARTMENT CAS
The use of a strong colour palette and curved partitions reshape this Milanese flat.
The concept behind the intervention is to transform the use of the apartment through the insertion of curved and colourful walls denying the original lay-out.
Plastic gestures together with clean cuts in the volumes resize and visually connect the different rooms.
From the small entrance the space expands towards the living areas defined by a sinuous blue fitted wall determining the functions and the privacy level in the different rooms.
Other winding partitions, each characterised by a strong colour, create a circular central space, real heart of the house: the dining room. Like theatrical flats, each colourful elements hide a different service room: yellow for the kitchen, green for the washroom, blue for the entrance to the bedroom.
The floors and the perimetric walls are willingly left white thus turning them into neutral surfaces enhancing the strength of the colours and the plasticity of the new insertions.
