Villa Troja
This house for a family of four was built on irregular trapezoidal plot that slopes mildly towards northeast. The southwestern part of the property is raised 4-6 m above the remaining site, thus forming a natural interface with the Drahan nature park.
The simple rectangular block is partially sunk into the terrain, with an underground garage attached to the basement from the east, separated by an expansion joint.
On the upper floor is an open-plan living area with kitchen and toilet. On the ground floor are the entrance and three bedrooms with shared bathroom. On the basement is home to a studio apartment (office), utility rooms and two-car garage. The various floors are reached via a straight stairway along the southeast facade or an elevator in the building's corner.
The house is a reinforced concrete structure with an outer layer of natural facing bricks. The retaining walls and garage are made of exposed concrete.
