Bancovino is both a gourmet and a winery located in the elegant district of Prati in Rome.
The place is expression of the contemporary restoration’s world’s demand of speed, conviviality and flexibility.
In daytime Bancovino becomes: gourmet products’ shop, restaurant, appetizers bar, take away, exhibition and tasting place and private dinner club.
Bancovino takes value from its very small size, just 60sqm: the very close room gives deep intimacy to the place.
A long steel counter is located in the centre of the room defining both preparation and tasting area; at the same time it keeps fresh food ad shows it to public; it gathers both customers and chefs around itself and joins them in the food and wine experience.
The main room is enveloped by wooden-clad and by a steel library containing wines and foods, which are the very protagonists of the place.
The wood panels of the library rotate themselves and become tables. Different sizes of panels allow several layouts according to the daily requirements.
The use of natural steel and wood confers to the place a warm and cozy atmosphere.
