This sales center project is situated at the margins of a lake. For this reason, Dushe Design has been developing the "Suspension" concept and its relationship with the lake's water level:
The main part of the building is on the land, some of it is suspended above the water, and the connections between the teahouse and the surrounding pavilions are made by a paths “under” the water.
The main building includes the sales center, that has a teahouse spirit. All public areas are facing the lake. This way, the visitors are in continue contact with the environment.
The simple and transparent teahouse floats above the lake, creating an illusion of zero gravity and gaining all visitor's attention.
The main body has two floors. The sales activity is located on the 2nd floor and has a copper wrapped skin. On the 1st floor, decorated-concrete plank walls wrapped the VIP reception center. Covering of the outdoor cafes, the upper volume is suspended 8 meters out over the base, showing off its “Suspension” attitude.
The whole project sustains the creation of the fairy tale feeling. When visitors are walking around the path below water, they can have a closer contact with water and see a wonderful lake scene. These paths connect you with two small teahouses supported by single columns, continuing the structure principle of the cantilever canopy. On their rooftop, these teahouses provide people a better experience of the site, having on them a viewing area. In this project, it is important to manage visitor's experience and create different scenes where they can find different and interesting point of views.
Dushe design spared no effort in creating a fluent and surprising experience for people and at the same time they kept their design identity, using a simple and direct language in their projects. To get the complete design, they spent a lot of time designing the exterior walls and choosing the most suitable materials according to the budget.
With the goal of “Customized Design”, Dushe Design has been always strong on their ideal of integrated design, including architecture, interior and landscape.
