Sang A Choi
Beehive is a chest of drawers inspired by the relationship between objects, gaps and space. The concept behind of Beehive is creating shadow using minimalist lines and forms. Black finishing increases the reflection and associates with the concept.
The brief set by British manufacturer, ercol was to redefine the “Ercol Language” through the form of storage and the Beehive has been hand crafted in the ercol prototype shop as the prize of winner from the project.
The drawers have handles in the front side and the shelves between the drawers allow to store stuff. Dovetail joint is used and the whole piece is made out of solid oak and finished in black.
