Commissioned to design ARTEK’s booth at Milan Design Week, KUEHN MALVEZZI creates an immersive presentation, which consists of three particular settings that follow from ARTEK’s colour scheme traditionally used on several chairs and stools: White, Sage and Grey. The three settings capture the visitors’ perception in different ways and formulate a framing for the specific functions:
White – a stage at the centre of ARTEK’s stand introducing the new Kaari Collection
by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to the public.
Sage – a forest-like environment of round pedestals displaying the company’s
collection of furniture inviting visitors to immerse themselves in Artek’s past and
present.
Grey – an immaterial space taking ARTEK’s historical collection of lamps and staging
a starry sky, which frames a more intimate meeting area.
These three settings are interconnected in a cohesive spatial design that leaves the
three distinctive layers visible as possible methods of approach.
