Church and community centre
The project aims to introduce in the buiding fabric an architectural presence with a strong identity figurative, able to make clear the new church.
The parish is divided by a fence-threshold, which emphasizes its edges change in the sense of the sacred space that contains and whose architecture is obtained as for excavation by a volume of constant height.
The different areas of the program liturgical and pastoral are unified in an organic design, gathered around the voids marked by long churchyard, by the leafy patio and by the court of Caritas.
The morphological articulation of the new church that rises from the sacred enclosure wants to give architectural form to the sign of the Cross.
On the front entrance the volume rises perpendicularly, while on the back, the structure shaped mantle outlines the apse, and internally houses the presbytery.
The ceiling takes the shape of a cross, spilling inside the nave with a large volume suspended, diffuser of natural light. The cruciform volume enhances the architectural space, exalted in its sacredness also by the natural light coming through the large decorated window and by the the body of water located between the weekday chapel and sacristy.
The bell tower is dug in the center of the main front, above the bronze portal of entry.
