Minimalist apartment in Montreux
Carte blanche, no constraints were imposed by the clients, an artist & an internationally renowned Swiss composer and conductor; other than to have lots of storage space and that from the workspace they can view the most beautiful mountains in the region.
The monastic space is divided by a corridor of wooden cedar slats according to the rhythm of the principle of the Fibonacci sequence.
Ralph Germann custom designed cupboards, doors, tables, kitchen units and library for the apartment.
The idea was to create a place "calm and quiet", hence the use of simple materials.
