ZANA HOUSE – THE SILENT OFFICE BLOCK
The office block that has been built in Lublin is strict and firm. Zana House is an island in a sea of architectural chaos.
The background is the hostile spatial chaos and random ugly buildings without greenery. It was therefore necessary to sketch a house that would negate this background—a house that would explain itself by its structure and inward façades. It is a silent house—the only possible answer to such a background.
The Office Block has over 1320 m2 of usable floor area. It has been arranged over 5 floors: 4 of them overground and 1 underground. On the -1 floor an underground parking is located with 21 parking spaces. Above, on the ground floor, there is the retail part and the entrance to the other floors of the building. The remaining three floors have been designed to be open-space offices. Additionally, on the +3 floor there is a bar and entrances to outside terraces.
Zana House Office Block opposes to the currently dominating trends that prefer lightweight and open architecture. While it is strict and firm, it tries to act as an "icon of the place" and to organize the surrounding city space. It is an elegant piece of architecture that is the investor's showpiece.
