CEO Representative office in Beijing
The interior project embraces a multifunctional ambient into a neat contemporary aesthetical office environment.
Located near the international capital airport, the space serves as the representative office for the CEO of a Chinese corporation. The design creates a very efficient space to work and to host the board meetings as well as a livable and warm atmosphere for recreation.
Special attention was also requested in the materials selection and in the decoration works to use only pollutant free and eco-sustainable materials.
The open space is organized in 3 main sectors: on the east part is located the reception area to welcome the guests, on the west side there is the proper office with the ceo desk and on the north area a large meeting table can host 12 people.
The three areas are divided by each others with spatial disjunctions. Some of the additional requests of the client were used then to define the space. The 18 sqm golf patting becomes an indoor landscape that spatially detach the reception area from the CEO desk.
An L shaped bookshelf protects the privacy of the CEO while seating in at the desk as well as conceals the presence of square structural pillar in the middle of the room.
The three different ambient are linked together by the presence of the wood wall that uniformly define the north part of the space. Covered with the same wood planks as the flooring, the wall hides a private pantry for the CEO, the wardrobe for the guest and the office for the secretary.
The design integrates also few traditional Chinese elements and functions into the contemporary ambient:
facing the meeting room and the CEO desk, a fish tank is requests to enhance the “Feng Shui” of the office. The glass of the fish tank is aligned with the wall and by a special flap it is possible to feed the fish by the meeting area. To guaranty the maximum comfort of the representative office, the fish tank can be maintained independently from the storage room.
On the other side, the contemporary furniture of the soft seat area is embrace by a long L shaped shelf that hosts all the ceramics and equipment for the tea preparation, a central aspect of Chinese culture of receiving guests.
In the pantry, the CEO has a private space to worship the Buddha and the necessary features for his comfort.
