Hookah Santa Fe
This bar-restaurant with an Arabic theme is located on the top floor of a new commercial building in Santa Fe, Mexico City’s business district. Given the size of the space, we chose to divide it into a central nave with series of smaller pockets on both sides. These are separated from the main space by a double layer of transparent curtains, allowing a wide variety of arrangements for different occasions. The geometric patterns used in Arabic architecture were reinterpreted in the range of finishes for the space: blue and white tiles fill the whole floor area as well as covering the fixed furniture elements, while to the rear a walnut wooden surface with an abstract pattern of openings, rises above the bar.
