Our project was formed through interaction with the specific conditions of the site. Two elements were absolutely crucial: the height - difference of the entrances to the plot and the green strip located at the east. The site has 3 levels, the top of the hill, the parking in the south and the parking in the west.
To create a better relationship between the programme and the surrounding of the building, it was pushed into the hill. Through this gesture a logical relation could be achieved between the movement of the different users and the landscape. The daily users, who enter at the lowest level of the west - parking, have a direct connection with the dressings rooms, playing fields and fitness area. The spectator enter one level higher, that has an open floor plan, providing overview and flexible use. The offices and lounge-area are placed on top of the hill, which gives them direct access to the terrace, surrounding the roof structure of the playing fields.
The main sport hall, which requires a high ceiling is placed into the core of the building. The roof is floating above the hill, serving as a landmark and allowing indirect sunlight into the playing fields. The compact footprint stays clear of the eastern green strip and leaves enough space for a big terrace with panoramic views.
