In an ordinary building on the outskirts of Lisbon, for private use of a religious society, is designed a library as a space of exception, a place of study, research, work and assembly, consisting of a reading room and a deposit room. The geometry of the ceiling reorganizes the existing and disqualified room, the color range invites to silence and serenity and the wood and its temperature strengthens the scale, private and personal. We sought to an austere and rigorous ambience where books define and create the work environment.
