Orangery and Horse Stables
The park of the beautiful 18th century manor, which we were contracted to restore, required development to add a swimming pool and a small building.
During discussions with the client, the project was expanded to include an orangery, horse stables and a vegetable garden. The old buildings thereby received a series of auxiliary buildings that provided the garden with aesthetic enhancement and practical improvements.
The buildings and walls are made of solid brick and have no insulation. The interior ceilings are vaulted. The ground plans are aligned on a quadrangular grid that uses the thickness of the walls as its basic dimension.
