Ubicada en un bosque cercano a Valle de Bravo. El proyecto propuso integrar la naturaleza con el espacio privado a partir de un patio interior que permite un encuentro íntimo y familiar con el entorno. Un pasillo perimetral conecta las distintas habitaciones y recorre el patio, fiel a la deambulación de un claustro. Existen espacios intencionalmente inconclusos en las esquinas de la vivienda, desprovistos de techo que evocan ruinas.
Situated in a wood close to Valle de Bravo. The idea of the project was to integrate the private space with nature in an interior yard which allows intimate and informal contact with the surroundings. A corridor around the perimeter of the yard connects the different rooms – reproducing the walk of a cloister. And there are spaces intentionally left unfinished in the corners, evoking a flair of ruins without roof.
We are pleased to share with you casa patio’s project. Single-family house located in the outskirts of a lake near to Valle of Bravo, in a land of 16,000 m2, which possesses more than half of the area of wooded space.
It tries to recapture this wild nature that prevails in the exterior but in a private space, the idea moves into a patio, a place to be lived and simultaneously full of life. A space of intimate connection with the nature enjoyable in any moment for any of the members from the house,a small extract of exterior life to the interior, a common place for familiar meeting.
The disposition of the courtyard in relation to the rooms and space of common use, allow the
existence of a corridor for deambulation between them, it makes a detour to the above mentioned
courtyard; providing a place for reflection, to the erratic movement around it, working like a
linkage element between the nature and the built. Intentionally, their are unfinished spaces
in the corners of the house, devoid of roof, which evoke the past and lead to the meditation,
spaces of introspective extract, of ambivalent character that incites to the intimate and private
reflective act, but formally of external character.
