the aim of the project was to create a quality of indoor environment that would be visible from the outside. the intersection of the individual corpora protruding from the base cube results in logical zones – the roughly plastered, concrete-like base corpus has individual bodies added and cut out. these figures form protected atriums and characteristic large “oriels”, an abstraction of a typical feature in south tyrolean architecture. the trees of the property, landscape, and clouds are mirrored in the windows and shiny black metal frames. therefore, the building seemingly becomes part of its natural surroundings. courtyards cut into the cube intensify this feeling of living with and in nature.
