Redesign Jincheng Children park
New Jincheng Children Park is dedicated to several functions such as representation, featuring the new urban planning exhibition hall, but also recreation and nature, play and sports. The redesign is based on a functional and conceptional graduation of the space in north south direction. The southern part is city-oriented, facing the main magistrale. The entrance reflects an urban, modern character. Being a contemporary and representative lobby for the park and urban planning exhibition, the south section creates a destination within the city. The northern park on the contrary, with the old bonsai garden and muslim cemetery, is representing tradition. It is scenically landscaped for recreation and nature experience. The intermediate space in the center, which is at the same time the surrounding of the exhibition hall, links landscape and urbanity, tradition and modernism and merges the designs from both sides. Important structures as well as existing trees are preserved and integrated in the new design.
