Haus Droszda Wien
Located on a narrow hillside the construction of this private villa in Vienna is developed due to its topographical circumstances. A special room concept based on different level hights and room sizes according to their function is to be located on staggered layers instead of being stringed on a continuous floor. Allthough all rooms are differently shaped the villa appears harmonically and calmly arranged. The concept was inspired by the revolutionary plans of the Austrian architect Adolf Loos who in 1928 built the Villa Mueller in Prague. But here the architects modified this concept and added huge panorama windows to the villa - in the largest possible size of 5 x 2 meters - allowing a brilliant view from the hilltop downtown Vienna.
