An old three-floor mill building was converted into a residential house with 6 lofts and two
apartments. The Building is standing next to a historical creek which is called Mühlbach. Today he
is used for electricity supply. The basement houses a turbine plant.
The presence of the fast flowing water is unique and impresses between the historical buildings.
The atmosphere of water can be felt in every home as well as the sounds of the current.
The massive exterior walls, the strong wood slab and the shoring remain as an element of the
conversion. The commercial embossed street-side facade, the mill wheel and the machines in the
basement are telling the past. The southern completion is separated from the old building by a glass
construction joint and formulated with its own character.
