Landesmuseum
The extension to the Landesmuseum builds up the new entrance to the Museum and to the park. The access from Museumstrasse is proposed through the new building favoring a new connection with the city. Each volume, old or new, acquires its own meaning in relationship with the rest, forming a unit of loose parts linked by open spaces.
The new construction is conceived a link with Gustav Gull building being the whole a complete but diverse unit in which new architecture is inserted without imposing.
Under the courtyard of the old Museum on the level of the park, the offices are placed as a modelling of the open space. The rest of the public areas are placed in the pavilion on the riverbank: restaurant, pier, shop, congress rooms and the entry to the tower, viewpoint towards the city.
