Salle d'animation d'Orliénas ( 69 - France ).
The project lays perpendicular to the steep and manages to modify the perception of inside to outside shelter, using wood in intimate spaces, and shiny inox tiles for the bigger parts.
The inox reflects and melts the way the landscape is percieved depending on the light, the weather, and it drives the pedestrian to seek shelter in the woor area, protected by a very generous cantilever ( 5m) that allows sun and rain protection.
Project is constructed in concrete, wood, steel and inox tiles.
It is also noticeable that the project is producing more energy than it uses, thank to geothermal probes, sunpanels producing electricity, and very good air leaks control. Due to very strong acoustic control, the shell of the project is able to isolate 56 db(a) from its surroundings, this was made possible using special acoustic glass, with soundproof aluminium frames and massive roof and walls insulation ( roof complex is 55 cm thick).
The team would like to thank the client, but also the builders of this building for their serious involvement in reaching all ambitious goals.
