Nyx Bar-Disco-Lounge - Tróia Design Hotel
Tróia Design Hotel
The Tróia Design Hotel project comes, in time, in continuation of the Francisco da Conceição Silva´s project for a resort on the peninsula of Tróia, in the '70s, of which only one part was even built, and was interrupted in 1974.
The intervention focuses on some new hotel's public spaces, including restaurants (Blue & Green and Mediterranean) and Bar-Nightclub-Lounge.
The projects for these public areas, relate to each other through the way light is controlled and affects each of the spaces, giving a special ambience to each.
The black and white tons of the materials, accentuate light and shade by day and receive special lighting during night time.
This space is defined by three distinct areas, corresponding to different types of use.
A zone of direct connection to the hotel lobby, is designed as a living area in visual communication with the outside courtyard garden.
A central area defined by the dance floor, with walls covered with black fur, is physically separated from the bar/lounge other spaces, with shiny black screen scene curtains. A set of large side tables with integrated lighting and leather seats characterize this dancing space.
In direct connection with this space is the area illuminated from above by white boxes that feature, together with the high back sofas, the living space, white and bright.
From the bar area and DJ booth, the uppermost part, a global view is possible in the longitudinal direction, of all these diverse areas.
The Bar-Nightclub-Lounge is connected to the Entertainment Centre Hotel, by a narrow horizontal communication.
