Cocorino
Designed by David Archer Architects, Cocorino has been developed to provide two spaces of different character, one for the gelato bar and one for the focaccia counter. The rooms share some similar characteristics, white tongue and grooved paneled walls, a richly stained hard wood floor and sympathetic lighting, however details mark the spaces apart. The gelato bar is detailed with washed oak elements, large mirrors with coloured accents and George Nelson lampshades reflecting the shapes and forms of the ice creams for sale.
The focaccia bar is more sober employing natural oak, steel framed lanterns including a large colourfully painted glazed partition framing the preparation area. The design is expressive both of the continental character of the products on sale, as well as combining a playfulness for customers to enjoy when selecting and consuming the attractive products displayed.
