Located along the SBB railways in Geneva, the IHEID student housing is shaped as a broken bar following the curve of the rail tracks.
This shape disrupts the reading scale of this large urban building that takes advantage of its size and site constraints.

The issue dedicated to this project is part of Box Set #25, that collects five projects by Swiss office Lacroix Chessex photographed by Joël Tettamanti.
Working exclusively with analogue photography, Tettamanti captured the spatiality and materiality of Lacroix Chessex's architecture with intensity and care.
