COPENHAGEN COASTLINE

From the Publisher

This Book is part of Nordic Territories, a project exploring the man-made landscapes of the coastal territories and the entanglement of society and nature in times where it is no longer merely mankind subjected to nature, but where nature is equally being shaped and conditioned by human desires. A condition particularly visible in the coastal territories where the notion of permanence and control is constantly challenged, and where the distinction between what is arti cial and what is natural is equally blurred.

A unifying trait for the different territories is not only their transient nature, but also the warm currents of the Gulf Stream making these northern shorelines habitable for human settlements.
